On Thursday night Deric and I went to see Jonsi (the lead singer of Sigur Ros) in Berkeley. He has constructed one of the most amazing visual/theater sets, second only to Daft Punk of course, for his new solo album "Go." The album is definitely a lot more joyous than most Sigur Ros albums and has some incredible drumbeats and energy. Jonsi has successfully created a show that demonstrates a masterful incorporation of nature into modern technology. The show has only been performed a handful of times now so the videos that are available are not the best quality but I thought you all would like to see it anyway.

It's hard to completely tell from this video but the set is actually three dimensional. There are 2 light boxes that look like burned out taxadermy cases on the wings of the stage where images are being projected and the backdrop is the facade of a burned building in front of a burned down forest. All the images project across these surfaces sometimes making them appear flat and other times making them seem like they're moving.

If you get the chance to see this show, do whatever you can to get a ticket. You will not be disappointed.
