The opening title sequences for James Bond movies are fascinating studies in videography, graphic design and music of the time in which they were created. One doesn't need to see the film to enjoy these for their own coolness and eccentricities, and I plan on posting a new one every now and then until we've got all of them.

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has answered a resounding "You betcha" to the question "Can she be anymore oblivious?" After pardoning a turkey for Thanksgiving, Governor Palin gave a surreal interview with a local news team yesterday - right in front of a dude slaughtering turkeys.

Amazing.

My favorite part is the look on the guy's face as he realizes "Wow, you're really going to do this."

Every Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe Fatality

Many of us must have made fun of the very IDEA of this game when we first heard about it, but now I'm sold on it, for two reasons:

1. I used to love MK II, and I like seeing Raiden in more or less his original outfit.

2. The DC characters' finishing moves are, by and large, pretty inspired, even when you take into account the fact that they don't let the superheroes kill people. I didn't even know Deathstroke was in this game, but his first one strikes me as ice cold for some reason.

3. Start at 3:50 to see Batman and the other superheroes' moves.

Tuvok Keepin it Gangsta

I swear to you I looked for this video a long time ago and it wasn't there, but then again, this dude DID misspell "Tuvok." I've had it on my HD for years (I didn't make it; I no longer recall how I got it) and was contemplating uploading it to YouTube if for some reason it was still absent.

Lethal Weapon: Trailer Gallery

There is an uncommon thematic and stylistic continuity between the four Lethal Weapon trailers that I find extremely fascinating. Each one was made many years apart, but all feature the same original music and tell a kind of story on their own. I suspect each one was cut by Richard Donner and the same team of trailer experts, because it really looks as though they watched the previous one(s) before moving on to the next. I can't think of any other franchise with trailers as linked as these. Watching the four trailers as one is like seeing a little iMovie biography of these characters' lives.

They're also just really sweet, kick-ass 1980s-style trailers.
