Too bad it didn't make contact. Would have been better if it were a beer bottle too.
Actually, brandishing the sole of a shoe is the worst possible insult in the Arabic culture, so a beet bottle wouldn't do the trick!
This is awesome.
I heard a CNN commentator make the connection to the statue of Saddam being torn down and Iraqis hitting it with their shoes.
What a way to go out.
In other news, I'll be throwing rose petals and waving hankerchiefs to our new President (fuck-you-I-will-be-sworn-in-with-my-middle-name-Hussein) Obama.... it will be like Evita Peron has returned.
If I owned a country, I would make it a great insult to hand deliver delicious leftovers to me. Then, I would do everything Bush did. A man can dream, can't he. A man can dream.
