Watchmen Commentary

I thought it would be good to start a post where the comments can be used to share reactions/commentary on Watchmen, that way if someone hasn't seen it they won't get any spoilers as long as they don't click the comments. So what did you all think?!

The Good: Rorschach; The Comedian; opening credit sequence set to "The Times They Are A Changin'"; the dweebiness of Dan Dreiberg (better in the movie than in the graphic novel); exploding Dr. Manhattan nuclear reactors instead of a giant alien squid; Rorschach's death causing a Rorschach stain in the snow.

The Bad: Ozymandias as a dainty fop instead of the pinnacle of man; a bizarre and often laughable soundtrack that actually served only to distract; a sex scene that lasted too long, crossing over from romance into a pay-by-the-hour motel fuck; Nixon wearing the same prosthetic nose as Nicole Kidman in "The Hours."
