Ugh.
This song is awesome and M.I.A. is a biter. She needs to cover this.
GREAT jam.
Neneh is pretty legit. She worked with Massive Attack back in the day and was part of Rip Rig & Panic, a worthy but completely forgotten band.
Her brother Eagle Eye Cherry had a hit song at some point and her dad was a jazz musician of some note.
This had so many great elements to a '90s music video - superimposed graffiti-like art, large gold necklaces and earrings, money signs, big hair, floating hazy facial profiles like a class of 1991 senior portrait, a DJ scratching a record, and a monologue over music. Unfortunately, it's missing one thing - Gratuitous use of condoms as clothing.
